Tristan G aka Tough Dumplin (MC Collizhun of Nefarius) hails from Kingston, Jamaica. Tough dumpling has been an Audio Engineer/Music Producer/MC for 15 years. From working with recording artists, to providing scoring for television and films, his vibrant and punchy audio collages capture diverse audiances. Tough dumplin has developed a unique style recognized and respected by the industry fans alike. His client list includes major labels such as EMI Music, Virgin music and Universal records. His client list of recording artists range from, Junior Reid, Phife – A Tribe Called Quest, MC Lyte, Lady of Rage, Kardinal Offishall, Freestyle of Arsonists, Lady Luck, Nefarius ect. Tough Dumplin is currently recording and touring with the Brooklyn35 collective. Brooklyn35 is a progressive collective of musicians, singers, emcees, Dj’s, producers and visual artists who, instead of being pigeon-holed by the hip-hop genre, hang their hat on versatility. Brooklyn35 has a diverse collective of various styles, including jazz, RnB, soul, and dance. The collective’s process is in the vein of classic Motown. All aspects are collaborative from the song writing to the production. Most of our songs are created in a jam session environment.
