The Junkyard, home of Junkprints and Brooklyn35 will open it’s doors to the public for this intimate 4 day shopping extravaganza. We’ll be celebrating the holidays and our recent collaborative project Junkprints Radio. This unique event is taking place Dec. 16th -19th ay the Junkyard, 66 washington Ave Brooklyn NY 11205, in the Navy Yard/Clinton Hill region of brooklyn. Join us friday and saturday for live music performances on starting at 7p on both evening.

Who are you and what do you do? We are R.Me (Steph LdaVoski, Real, Rashid Amir and X Maximus) a diligent group of emcees who paint lyrical narratives and incorporate swag at the same time.

Where do you do it? We do it predominantly in Flatbush, Brooklyn but besides basing our talents in New York City we are proud to showcase it around the world.

Do you do it for the love or the money? We do it for the love, the money is secondary and only necessary to survive of course, but it’s love that is the drive behind what we do.

What was your first or worst job? We’ve worked in retail stores, toy stores, theaters you name it we probably did it.

How did you come up with the concept for your track of the Junk Yard EP? Just from having random thoughts and conversations you’d be surprised at what type of concepts come up.

What can we expect next from you? A ton of great classic material, global domination and success.

Who are you and what do you do?
We are The Faculty Enterprise (Lee Turley, Raydar Ellis and Jared) Pauley and we produce the greatest music you haven’t heard yet

We work from various studios in Brooklyn and Harlem

Always for the love first and foremost

What was your first or worst job?
Anything that wasn’t music-related

How did you come up with the concept for your track of the Junk Yard EP?
“Let it Fly” was based off of the Junkprints Let it Fly hoodie and Brooklyn Breeze was based off of the fact that the Faculty had begun to hold regular weekly studio sessions in Brooklyn during the summer at Tough Dumplin Studios.

What can we expect next from you?
Raydar Ellis (Revive Music Group) will be releasing his upcoming album “A Summer with Darvin Diggs”, The Faculty Enterprise will be producing 2 upcoming projects for Backwordz (Rebel Starr) and Lee Turley (Revive Music Group) will be releasing his debut production album next year.

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Raydar Ellis and I do music…..HEFTY!!

Where do you do it?

I do it everywhere….in my sleep, on stage, in studio, in a classroom, in other countries, in business meetings, in your moms……record collection (innocent thumbs up)

Do you do it for the love or the money?

I do it for the love because love is a jewel from God and money is a tool from man.

What was your first or worst job?
My first job was as an RA (or was it CA?) at NC A&T, or was it at Sam Goody?? No wait…Sam Goody was after A&T. Before that, it was odd yard work jobs here and there in high school with my homie Adam (WAAAAAADDDDUUUUPP!!!!). I can’t say any of them were really that bad, because I was always surrounded by a supportive team.

How did you come up with the concept for your track of the Junk Yard EP?

I don’t know. I just kick it with Lee & Jared and we come up with this music. That night it was just Lee and me though. Jared was there in spirit. Somewhere in the middle of tracking we flipped this joint. Dana & Tough Dumplin came up with the concept and vocal ideas. It was like a really nice sandwich of collective minds all about enjoying the summer in NY.

MEET TEENBEATS

Who are you and what do you do? Oh im Just Teen and I’m usually `-’ing around. lol nah but I go by TeenBeats- Music Producer/ Performing Art-ist. Part owner of Teen&Jonesy. I pretty much come up with good ideas and run with them.

Where do you do it? I am Based out of Brooklyn New York, with some roots in Staten Island, and Chicago IL, I think thats where the Soul beats come from.

Do you do it for the love or the money? I can definetly say I am more art-driven then money-driven.

What was your first or worst job? On the books or off? Lol because I had a Lot of hustles, legal ones at that, growing up. But my first Real job was Poppin! I was fresh outa highschool and I was selling student loan consolidations with mad older people, and was like assistant manager, making like 18 buckaroos an hr. Thats when I first realized that I can sell practically anything, and was interested in business.

How did you come up with the concept for your track of the Junk Yard EP? Aha well one day I got caught red-handed in the park, and me and my homie Kate got locked up for like a day and a half. I was like Mannn Ima make a song called “Kate Goes to Jail” and then like a few days later I made the beat. Then I teamed up the amazing Eliki, I told her the concept and she ran wild with it lol. No w Classic..

What can we expect next from you? I pretty much spent 2010 working and setting up shop so that by 2011 I can consecutively release projects I’ve been working on. I will show my versitality and my creativity in a bunch of areas. I am Launching my “Fashion Business” early 2011, and releasing my Debut EP “QuaranTeen.” I will also spend a good portion of my time, with my business partner Jonesy, providing inner city youth and communities with more activites, through the Rated T for Teen Foundation.
